Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA Announces 2020 Racing Plan

Honda is a famous manufacturer in the production and distribution of vehicles. In particular, the highlights are motorcycles and moto. The Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA team is made up of top Honda company employees and Honda teams throughout Asia and Oceania. Recently, the team shared their plan for motorsport in the 2020 season at a press conference taking place ahead of the Sepang 8 Hours, the FIM Endurance World Championships at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.

In 2019, theĀ Honda Asia-Dream Racing team has completed the Asian Motorcycle Racing (ARRC 2019) category ASB1000 with the 4th place. And Racer Zaqwan Zaidi took 3rd place overall. The team also took 12th place in the JSB1000 category in the 2019 All-Japan Road Race Championship (JSB) and won 11th place in the Suzuka 8 -hour endurance race.

In 2020, the team will continue to make efforts to compete in ASB1000, ARRC with the goal of winning the championship. The team will also participate in the 8-hour Suzuka and JSB 1000 tournaments with the goal of completing the race with the best results. Makoto Tamada, the former MotoGP racing champion, and manager of the Honda Asia-Dream Racing team since its inception will continue to play the role of team manager. Malaysian rider Zaqwan Zaidi, former SS600 champions, will continue to play for the team in the championship goal.

In addition, Gerry Salim, AP250, ARRC 2018 champion, along with Indonesian racing team Astra Honda Racing, will join Zaqwan Zaidi for Honda Asia-Dream Racing with SHOWA

Both Honda Asia-Dream Racing riders will use the Honda CBR1000RR-R, a new racing machine from the famous CBR line newly introduced at EICMA 2019. Using this model, Honda Asia-Dream Racing will be one of the racing teams. head over in Asia and Oceania.
